About

Where do you begin at “about?” It seems so narrow. Though our lives are nothing extraordinary, thankfully they are still difficult to edit down into one little “about” section, so we will tell you this: We are Michael and Christine, a husband and wife with dreams and desires, hopes and hesitations, ambitions and failures. Just like you, we would imagine.

We got married in May, 2008 after a whirlwind romance, of sorts. Michael works as an auto technician and I am the editor of Roswell Patch, an AOL-owned hyperlocal news site. We live in North Atlanta, where we both grew up; and we have one daughter, born in January 2011. Our hobbies as individuals and a couple include: renovating our home, playing music, writing, watching movies, tinkering with the M5 BMW, interior design, accessorizing, spending time with our families and traveling – anywhere, anytime, as often as possible!

As we venture out into this big, wide blogging world, we will reveal a little of ourselves and our adventures. Hopefully, you’ll like what you see. If not, we’ll try to make you laugh, think, question [insert verb here] again next post. Thanks for reading!

Hi Christine! At first I thought I’d just quickly look at your site and leave a comment or two since you were so kind to support me in my blog endeavor:) But then I kept reading and reading! I love the spirit of your posts, the ones about not relenting and the immeasurable grace of Joannie were especially nice! You have a great blog and should post more often! I’d definitely read 🙂

Thanks so much! I love blogging, but sometimes I just don’t have time…you know how it goes 🙂 Anyway, I’m trying to keep up with it more often now, so thanks for reading!

Will you share with me your authentic recipe for Nanaimo bars? I had them at a Resstaurnat in Littleton, Colorado today and they were unbelievable. I googled the recipe and found many variations but I would slike one that is truly authentic. If it is not a secret family recipe and you’d be willing to share I’d really appreciate it!
